Bring a curious mind, a creative spirit, and some walking shoes, and join StreetsDept.com's Founder, Conrad Benner, for November's 2nd Saturday Street Art Tour exploring the street art, murals – and more! – of Philadelphia's Center City neighborhood.
This guided walking tour will take you through parts of two of the biggest public art exhibitions in Philadelphia right now: Monument Lab's exhibition which asks What is an appropriate monument for the current city of Philadelphia?, and Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture's An Immigrant Alphabet. We'll explore one of Philly's most concentrated and popular streches of murals produced by Mural Arts Philadelphia in The Gayborhood. And of course, I'll be pointing out my favorite street art all along the way!
I'll be your host and guide for the tour, my name's Conrad Benner, and I'm a Philly-born photographer, curator, and the Founder of StreetsDept.com, an award winning photo-blog that's been discovering art on streets of Philadelphia since 2011.
A few quick notes before you get your ticket: 1) The tour's exact start and end location will be emailed to you soon after your ticket is purchased. 2) These 2nd Saturday Street Art Tours are just about 2 hours and do include a good deal of walking, which may not be suitable for all. Please feel free to email me at StreetsDept [at] gmail [dot] com, if you have any questions. 3) Each tour is limited to only 20 people, so be sure to get your ticket(s) quickly!
